Koei Tecmo has begun releasing remastered versions of its Dynasty Warriors series for modern platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

In early September, the company opened pre-orders for ‘Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered’ for the Nintendo Switch 2, with a scheduled release date of October 1, 2026. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, this edition includes the ‘Xtreme Legends’ expansion and introduces modernized mechanics such as ‘dodge’ and ‘just power guard’.

Following this, Koei Tecmo Games announced that physical pre-orders for ‘Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered’ would open from September 15 to September 30 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. This title also utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to overhaul character models and lighting. While the Nintendo Switch 2 version is slated for the North American market, the PlayStation 5 edition will be the Hong Kong version. The game is set for release in South Korea on October 1.
