DYPA apprenticeship programs aim to bridge Greece's labor market gaps
Greece is shifting its vocational education model to better align with current labor market demands. Through the Public Employment Service (DYPA), vocational apprenticeship schools are integrating theoretical training with practical experience within real businesses to address shortages in specialized technical personnel.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Niki Kerameus stated that the goal is to create more opportunities and improve the match between labor supply and demand. By recording specific industry needs, DYPA adapts its curricula to ensure students acquire the exact skills required by employers, facilitating a smoother transition from education to employment.
