Dyson admits manufacturing defects in $499 AI toothbrush

Dyson has officially acknowledged manufacturing defects in its new $499 AI-powered electric toothbrush, the CameraJet, which led to the product being temporarily removed from several retail platforms, including Best Buy.

The company stated that a production issue with the device's jet nozzle caused water leakage. This leakage can penetrate other internal components, leading to sudden power failures. Consumers reported that the devices would stop working within minutes or even seconds of use.

Dyson confirmed it has isolated the affected inventory and is working to resolve the issue. While the company initially attributed shortages to high global demand, it has now apologized to customers and committed to providing support. Despite the setback, Dyson intends to continue developing oral care as a major product category, with plans to introduce additional items such as foam-free toothpaste.
