Dyson CameraJet toothbrush faces availability issues due to production defect
Dyson has introduced the CameraJet, a high-tech toothbrush designed to automate oral hygiene by combining brushing, flossing, and mouthwash dispensing. The device utilizes Gap Optical Targeting technology, which uses a camera to analyze 28 live images per second to identify gaps between teeth. Once identified, the device triggers a precision jet of mouthwash to target plaque in those specific areas.
Following its launch, the product faced availability issues after being removed from retailer sites. A Dyson spokesperson clarified that a production batch of jet tubes experienced a process issue that created the potential for water seepage. This defect affected a small number of early units, primarily in the UK, and led the company to isolate the impacted products. While the product was temporarily out of stock, no devices were shipped in the US due to the issue.
