Dyson introduces Corrale CoolShine hair straightener with active cooling

Dyson has announced the Corrale CoolShine, a new generation of hair straighteners designed for professional use. The device introduces an active cooling attachment that utilizes a heat-pipe principle to remove excess heat from hair strands during the styling process.

This cooling mechanism uses copper pipes containing a heat-transfer fluid to absorb and dissipate thermal energy immediately after contact with the heating plates. According to product testing, this technology can reduce heat damage by up to 29 percent while increasing hair shine by up to 154 percent compared to untreated hair. The styling results are reported to last up to 24 hours.

The device also features flexible heating plates made from a copper-manganese alloy. These plates are designed to adapt to the shape of the hair, providing better control and preventing strands from slipping out during use, which reduces the need for repeated passes.
