Dyson introduces Nurovi R2 Wash+Dry robot vacuum

Dyson has launched the R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry, a new robot vacuum priced at 849 euros. The device features a unique cleaning design using a pair of triangular pads inspired by the Reuleaux triangle. This geometric approach allows the robot to perform coordinated eccentric movements to cover rectangular surfaces and reach corners more effectively than traditional circular mops.

The R2 is part of a broader Nurovi lineup that includes the R1 Dry for suction and the R3 Spot+Scrub UV, which utilizes ultraviolet technology for stain detection. The R2 offers 21,000 Pa of suction power and includes a bagless cleaning station. This release represents Dyson's effort to compete more effectively in the autonomous robot market against established brands like Roborock, Dreame, and Ecovacs.
