Dyson launches AI-powered CameraJet toothbrush
Dyson has unveiled the CameraJet, an AI-powered toothbrush developed over six years by a team of 661 engineers. The device features a 100,000-pixel macro lens that captures 28 images per second to analyze oral hygiene.
Using a machine learning algorithm called ‘Gap Optical Targeting’, the device identifies interdental spaces. Once a gap is detected, it triggers a targeted conical jet of mouthwash within 100 milliseconds. The system was trained using 470,000 dental images to improve accuracy.
The CameraJet is priced at 479 euros and includes a charging base, specialized toothpaste, and mouthwash. The technology aims to address common hygiene issues, such as infrequent flossing and insufficient brushing duration.
