Dyson launches Airsmooth hot air styling brush

Dyson has launched the Airsmooth, its first dedicated hot air styling brush designed to dry, smooth, and shape wet hair in a single step. Presented at IFA Berlin, the device features a large, teardrop-shaped brush head intended to increase hair contact and reach the roots more effectively than previous attachments.

The tool utilizes a patented dual-bristle system to minimize hair damage and tangling. This includes ‘Anti-snag’ bristles with a loop structure to prevent pulling and ‘PivotFlex’ bristles that provide flexibility and control airflow to reduce frizz. To protect hair health, the brush incorporates thermal sensors that measure airflow temperature up to 100 times per second to prevent extreme heat damage.

Retailing at approximately $249 (or 249 euros in certain markets), the Airsmooth is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Dyson Airwrap, though it lacks the multi-styler's specific curling technology. The initial release is available in a Ceramic Pink/Rose Gold colorway.
