Dyson launches CameraJet AI-powered toothbrush and water flosser
Dyson has introduced the CameraJet, an integrated oral-care device that combines an electric toothbrush with a water flosser and an artificial intelligence-powered camera. The device features a 1 mm diameter camera located beneath the brush head that captures 28 images per second to identify plaque-prone gaps between teeth. An AI model uses this visual data to direct a cone-shaped water flow toward specific areas requiring attention.
The system connects to a smartphone app that provides coverage maps and analyzes brushing patterns. To ensure camera visibility, the device is intended for use with low-foaming toothpaste. The CameraJet includes a portable station that acts as a charging dock, a travel case, and a 200 ml water reservoir capable of refilling the toothbrush tank in approximately three seconds.
Retailing at approximately £419.99 in the UK and $499.99 in the US, the product marks Dyson's expansion from hair and air technology into dental hygiene. While some users have reported issues, the package includes specialized low-foaming mouthrinse and toothpaste to optimize the camera's performance.
