Dyson unveils AI-powered CameraJet toothbrush and Nurovi robot vacuums
At a recent event in Berlin, Dyson unveiled a new generation of intelligent machines, marking a shift from purely mechanical devices to AI-driven technology. A central highlight is the Dyson CameraJet, an electric toothbrush that integrates a 100,000-pixel macro camera and machine learning. Using the “Gap Optical Targeting” system, the device identifies interdental gaps in real time and triggers a precision conical jet of mouthwash within 100 milliseconds to clear plaque.
The CameraJet retails for approximately $499 and is designed to work best with non-foaming toothpaste to ensure camera clarity. The product launch has drawn competitive attention, with Colgate releasing an advertisement mocking the high-tech approach by promoting a traditional toothbrush as a simpler alternative.
In addition to oral care, Dyson introduced the Nurovi robot vacuum range, which utilizes AI vision and UV light to detect and clean various household substances. The company also expanded its HushJet air purification lineup and announced the global expansion of its “Never Without Your Dyson” customer service program, which includes a loaner device initiative previously piloted in South Korea.
