Düzce Municipality begins 500 million TL asphalt project

Düzce Municipality has launched its 2026 asphalt investment program, beginning work at two major locations: Istanbul Avenue in the Aziziye neighborhood and the D-100 connection in the Kirazlı neighborhood. The project follows the conclusion of a 500 million TL tender process, which included a 40-day objection period.

Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü stated that the budget is divided into 400 million TL for asphalt paving and 100 million TL for sidewalk repairs. To maximize efficiency during the summer months, construction crews are scheduled to work up to 14 hours a day. The current phase focuses on approximately 2,250 meters in Aziziye and 750 meters in Kirazlı. Özlü expressed his goal that no unpaved streets will remain in Düzce by the end of his term.
