Düzce Municipality completes 41km of new water pipeline
Düzce Municipality has reached a milestone in its city-wide drinking water infrastructure renewal project, completing the installation of 41 kilometers of pipeline.
The project, which carries a budget of 45 million Euro, aims to replace aging infrastructure with a more durable and long-lasting system. The works involve laying ductile pipes ranging from 1600 mm to 150 mm and PVC pipes from 316 mm to 110 mm. These upgrades are intended to resolve existing issues with water pollution, pressure fluctuations, and water loss.
Technological advancements are central to the new system. Düzce will be divided into 39 distinct regions, each equipped with District Metered Area (DMA) rooms. This setup will allow for regional monitoring of water inflow, outflow, and consumption, enabling faster responses to leaks, pressure problems, or technical failures.
