EA Sports FC 26 adds World’s Game mode with 53 licensed national teams
EA Sports FC 26 will receive a major update on 4 June, introducing the new "World’s Game" tournament mode. The update adds 53 fully‑licensed national teams—41 of which have qualified for the real‑world World Cup—allowing players to compete with squads such as England, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Mexico, the United States and many others.
The mode mirrors a full international tournament, featuring a 48‑team group stage followed by knockout rounds. It launches on both the console/PC version of EA Sports FC 26 and the mobile version. New stadiums such as Gillette Stadium and BMO Field are included, and playing the mode between 5 June and 24 July unlocks additional rewards, including an ICON Pele item and Journey evolutions.
The update also expands licensing partnerships, bringing official kits, crests and player likenesses for the added nations, enhancing authenticity for gamers worldwide.
