EA Sports FC 27 generates $714.1 million in revenue within three weeks
EA Sports FC 27 has become the most profitable new video game released in 2026, generating an estimated $714.1 million in revenue from 7.9 million copies sold in less than three weeks. Data from Alinea Analytics indicates that the title outperformed other major 2026 releases, including Resident Evil Requiem and Forza Horizon 6.
Console platforms account for 93% of total sales, with PlayStation dominating the market share at 77.1%. Xbox represents 15.9% of sales, while Steam accounts for approximately 7%.
While the total number of copies sold remains relatively consistent with the previous year's release, FC 27 saw a 14% increase in total revenue compared to FC 26. This growth is largely attributed to a significant shift toward ninth-generation hardware. Specifically, revenue on PlayStation 5 surged to approximately $506.7 million, up from $323.6 million for the previous installment. Conversely, revenue on older hardware, such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, experienced notable declines.
