EA Sports FC 27 prepares for launch with app maintenance and reward updates

Electronic Arts is preparing for the launch of EA Sports FC 27, beginning with maintenance on the Football Ultimate Team (FUT) web and companion apps. This maintenance signals the upcoming season preparation phase, allowing players to access management tools ahead of the full game release. Early access for Ultimate Edition pre-orders is scheduled for September 18, 2026, with the web app expected to become available around September 16.

For the new title, EA is implementing significant changes to the Ultimate Team reward system to increase player engagement. The company plans to increase coin payouts for matches in Rivals and Champions modes, aiming to provide “a multiple” of previous earnings. Additionally, Rivals packs will be fully tradable at launch, and players will be able to earn qualification points for Champions through Squad Battles, removing the previous requirement of being in Division 6.
