EA SPORTS FC adds 53 licensed national teams in new World’s Game update

EA SPORTS FC 26 and the mobile version are receiving a major update titled “The World’s Game,” scheduled for release on June 4. The update introduces 53 fully licensed national teams – including England, Germany, Mexico, Canada, the United States, Brazil, Spain and Portugal – allowing players to compete with authentic kits, crests and player likenesses.

A new tournament mode features a 48‑team competition with group stages followed by knockout rounds, while the mobile version offers a customizable round‑of‑16 knockout schedule. The update also adds several real‑world stadiums such as Gillette Stadium, BMO Field and a newly created venue, Central Maw, to enhance the international football atmosphere.

The expansion is supported by new licensing partnerships with Brazil, Spain and Portugal and expands EA SPORTS FC’s roster of clubs, leagues and stadiums, reinforcing the game's focus on authenticity and global competition.
