EA Sports FC adds Hall of Fame Ultimate Team cards and free World Cup 2026 update

EA Sports FC 27 is rumored to receive a new Hall Of Fame card category in Ultimate Team. Leaked information lists players such as Mario Balotelli, Hulk, Hatem Ben Arfa, Alexandre Pato, Adel Taarabt, Daniel Sturridge and others as being tested for special Hall Of Fame cards that would sit alongside existing Icons and Heroes. The cards are still subject to final approval and may not appear at launch.

Separately, EA Sports FC 26 received a free "The World's Game" update that introduces a 48‑team World Cup 2026 tournament mode without an official FIFA licence. The update expands the roster to 53 national teams, adds new stadiums like Gillette Stadium and BMO Field, and integrates the tournament into Career and Ultimate Team modes with additional events, challenges and rewards.

Both changes aim to extend the longevity of the franchise and keep the community engaged ahead of the real 2026 World Cup.
