Electronic Arts launches EA SPORTS FC 27 with new social hub
Electronic Arts has released EA SPORTS FC 27, introducing significant gameplay and social features. A major highlight is ‘The Grounds’, a new open-world social hub that supports up to 100 players simultaneously. This mode features three distinct districts inspired by football cultures in the UK, France, and Argentina, and includes various formats such as 1v1, 3v3, and ‘Rush’. The mode is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, though older consoles like PS4 and Xbox One will not have access to it.
In addition to the console release, the EA SPORTS FC Mobile 27 season update has launched. This update includes the new ‘Gauntlet Mode’ (a PvE experience), ‘Game Plans’ for tactical control, and new PlayStyles. The mobile launch coincides with a month-long anniversary event featuring fan-favorite elements like the Bernabéu Stadium and Team of the Year upgrades.
Gameplay improvements in the main title focus on player control, realism, and technical refinements in passing, shooting, and defending. The game also supports crossplay between consoles of the same generation, allowing PlayStation 5 users to play with Xbox Series X|S and PC players via EA Connect.
