EAGLE Force dismantles drug networks and inspects chemical establishments in Telangana

The EAGLE Force has conducted major operations in Telangana to dismantle drug trafficking networks and prevent the diversion of precursor chemicals. In one operation targeting an interstate alprazolam network, authorities seized assets valued at approximately Rs 3.02 crore. The investigation uncovered links across Telangana, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, involving the supply of alprazolam and chloral hydrate.

In a separate five-day joint operation involving TG-SAFE and other enforcement agencies, 10 specialized teams inspected 83 establishments across eight districts, including Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Nalgonda. The inspections focused on the procurement, storage, and sale of controlled chemicals such as acetic anhydride, anthranilic acid, ephedrine, and pseudoephedrine to ensure they are not diverted for illicit narcotic manufacturing.

The multi-departmental teams included personnel from the Narcotics Control Bureau, central intelligence agencies, and the Prohibition and Excise Department to verify regulatory compliance and transaction records.
