EAGLE Force seizes Rs 6-crore assets in interstate drug racket

Telangana’s EAGLE Force has seized assets worth an estimated Rs 6 crore, allegedly acquired through the illegal trafficking of Alprazolam. The crackdown targets an interstate drug network operating across Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

The seized properties include 9.06 acres of agricultural land, 1,370 square yards of open plots, a chemical factory, four four-wheelers, and two two-wheelers. While government rates value the assets at approximately Rs 2.5 crore, their market value is estimated at nearly Rs 6 crore. The forfeiture was conducted under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act following confirmation from authorities in Chennai and Mumbai.

The investigation follows the arrest of 15 individuals and the seizure of 32.5 kg of Alprazolam. Authorities identified an illegal manufacturing operation in Maharashtra, involving Surya Prabha Pharma Chem in Satara and Rashi Trader Chemical Factory in Ahmednagar. Key suspects named in the probe include Amar Singh Deshmukh, Baburao Baswaraj Kadere, and Mallepula Laxman Goud.
