East Java local governments praised for transparent anti‑corruption
The East Java branch of Indonesia’s Committee for the Eradication of Corruption (KAKI) inspected Surabaya’s 2026/27 school admission system (SPMB) and reported that every stage – from data verification to public complaint handling – complied with Ministry of Education regulations, with no evidence of bribery or illicit fees. KAKI Chair Moh. Hosen highlighted the professionalism of the Surabaya Education Office and recommended that its director receive a ministerial award.
In a separate assessment, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) awarded the city of Mojokerto a perfect 100 % score for the second quarter of 2026, alongside Bojonegoro. The rating reflected timely submission of financial data, swift follow‑up on KPK recommendations, and adherence to verification deadlines, underscoring the city’s commitment to clean governance.
