Eastern Economic Forum opens in Vladivostok with high-level Chinese delegation

The 11th Eastern Economic Forum has commenced in Vladivostok, Russia, running from September 1 to September 4. The event, themed ‘Far East — Development for the People,’ has drawn approximately 5,500 participants and guests from over 70 to 80 countries.

A high-level delegation from China, led by State Councilor and Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, is attending the forum. During his visit, Ding is scheduled to participate in the 13th meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee, the 23rd meeting of the China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee, and the 8th China-Russia Energy Business Forum.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to attend and deliver a speech on September 3. The forum's agenda includes over 100 specialized seminars covering topics such as logistics infrastructure, private investment, and international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, Yuri Trutnev, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative to the Far Eastern Federal District, highlighted the region's economic growth, noting that 1,118 new enterprises and 6.8 trillion rubles in investment have been recorded in various Far Eastern territories.
