Infrastructure development remains a priority for Eurasian connectivity. Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov revealed plans for a 16 billion rouble project to link the Chinese city of Mohe with Russia’s Far East and the Northern Sea Route via a combined rail-and-road bridge across the Amur River. This Mohe–Dzhalinda route would provide access to the Northern Sea Route via the Lena River.

Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Putin stated that “chances exist” for a diplomatic resolution if Russia and Ukraine reach an agreement directly. He noted that contacts continue primarily through intelligence services and accused Western allies of being “accomplices to international terrorism” for their silence regarding attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure and maritime vessels.
