Eastern Province Governor reviews Al-Ahsa development projects

Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and his deputy met with the Mayor of Al-Ahsa, Engineer Essam bin Abdullatif Al-Mulla, to review the municipality's developmental achievements and projects for 2026.

Key infrastructure highlights include the completion of the King Abdullah (Inner Ring) Road and Riyadh Road intersection project, which was finished six months ahead of schedule. This project features a 1,500-meter tunnel with three lanes in each direction. Additionally, the municipality has improved 28 roads within the agricultural oasis, totaling 80 kilometers.

Regarding public transportation, the municipality reported 55,909 passengers in September, bringing the yearly total to 650,000 passengers with a 95% on-time performance rate. The Governor emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in municipal services to support rapid urban growth and improve the quality of life for residents.
