easyJet crew approve strikes in Portugal

easyJet cabin crew members in Portugal have approved strike action scheduled for two periods: October 2 to 6 and December 19 to 23.

The October strike is expected to affect approximately 500 scheduled flights operating from the Porto, Lisbon, and Faro bases. Minimum services for this period are to be negotiated at a later date.

The impact of the December strike is currently uncertain, but officials expect a significantly higher number of disruptions due to the increased flight demand during the Christmas holiday season.

The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) stated that working conditions for crew members in Portugal continue to deteriorate and that previous warnings to easyJet regarding crew rights have seen little change.
