EasyJet pilots and crew launch 18‑hour strike across Italy

On Saturday 13 June, EasyJet pilots and flight attendants will stage an 18‑hour national strike in Italy. The action, organised by unions including Uiltrasporti, Filt‑CGIL, Fit‑CISL and others, targets the renewal of the crew‑contract and aims to highlight perceived pay disparities with other European bases.

The strike will affect EasyJet operations and other airport services: Enav air‑traffic controllers at Verona, SogeaER staff at Cagliari and Sky Services personnel at Milan Linate will also walk out. While the disruption can cause wide‑scale delays and cancellations, the Italian civil aviation authority (ENAC) has mandated protected flight windows from 07:00‑10:00 and 18:00‑21:00, as well as essential island links such as Malpensa‑Lampedusa, Napoli‑Palermo and Napoli‑Olbia.

Passengers scheduled to travel on 13 June are advised to monitor airline and airport communications, and they retain the right to a full ticket refund or re‑routing if flights are cancelled.
