EasyJet pilots in France postpone strike for renewed talks

EasyJet pilots based in France have suspended their planned strike for September 13 and 14 to allow for renewed negotiations with management. The SNPL union announced that the strike notice has been postponed to September 24 and 25, 2026, to give the ongoing dialogue a chance to reach a meaningful conclusion.

The primary grievances involve chronic instability in flight scheduling and working conditions. Pilots report that monthly schedules frequently change entirely from their original versions. The union is seeking similar protections to those recently granted to cabin crew following a strike in August, which included five days of unchangeable monthly scheduling and compensation for changes exceeding two hours.

While the SNPL expressed relief at the resumption of serious dialogue, the union remains vigilant, noting that no firm commitments have yet been secured regarding the core demands.
