EasyJet to end all flights from Leeds Bradford Airport in 2027

EasyJet has announced it will cease all operations at Leeds Bradford Airport effective January 5, 2027, ending a 16-year presence at the West Yorkshire aviation hub. The airline stated the decision follows a route review aimed at focusing on its most popular destinations. Affected routes include services to Geneva, Paris, Belfast, Barcelona, Malaga, and Mallorca.

EasyJet has contacted customers with bookings beyond the January deadline, offering either a full refund or a free transfer to flights from alternative airports. While the airline apologized for the inconvenience, it emphasized its commitment to maintaining routes with high customer demand.

In response to the withdrawal, Ryanair has launched a promotional campaign offering ‘rescue fares’ starting at £29.99 for routes previously served by EasyJet at Leeds Bradford. Other carriers, including Jet2 and Wizz Air, continue to operate at the airport, with Jet2 recently announcing new summer 2027 routes to Preveza and Santorini.
