Ebonyi PDP Governorship Candidate Odii Refutes Cyberbullying Allegations as Youth Group Endorses Gov. Nwifuru

Chief Ifeanyi‑Chukwuma Odii, the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2027 governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, denied accusations by federal lawmaker Chinedu Ogah that he sponsors cyber‑bullying against the state government. Odii called the claim "baseless" and argued that asking questions and demanding a performance scorecard are legitimate democratic actions, quoting, "Since when did asking questions become cyberbullying? Since when did demanding a scorecard become cyberstalking?" He also highlighted his philanthropic activities through the Odii Foundation, citing support for over 20,000 youths and women, scholarships for more than 5,000 students, and the construction of 1,500 houses for vulnerable residents.

In a separate communique, the Ezza Ezekuna General Youth Assembly (EEGYA) rejected a purported endorsement of Odii, stating that the youth group has already adopted incumbent Governor Francis Nwifuru for the 2027 election. EEGYA praised Nwifuru’s development projects, peace initiatives, and inclusion of Ezza youths in his administration, urging members to register to vote and warning that any impersonators of the assembly would face legal action.
