EBRD and Attijari Bank Tunisie expand financing partnership

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is expanding its partnership with Attijari Bank Tunisie to bolster financing for Tunisian businesses. The existing risk-sharing facility has been increased from 20 million euros to 70 million euros, aimed at supporting private sector development across various economic sectors.

Additionally, the EBRD is introducing a new 10 million USD mechanism specifically designed to support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investments. This new facility will be supported by grants from the United Kingdom through the High-Impact Partnership on Climate Action (HIPCA). Eligible projects include improvements in energy efficiency, renewable energy installations, waste reduction technologies, employee training, risk management, and gender equality initiatives.
