EBRD and Attijari Bank Tunisie financing expansion
Overview
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has expanded its partnership with Attijari Bank Tunisie to increase financing for the Tunisian private sector. The existing risk-sharing facility was raised from 20 million euros to 70 million euros.
Furthermore, a new 10 million USD mechanism has been introduced to support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investments. This facility, supported by grants from the United Kingdom via the High-Impact Partnership on Climate Action (HIPCA), targets projects involving renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste reduction, gender equality, and risk management.
