Ebusco secures 6 million euro investment from Rhein Holding
Ebusco, the Dutch electric bus manufacturer, has secured a 6 million euro investment from shareholder Rhein Holding to alleviate severe liquidity pressures. The capital injection will be executed in two tranches of 3 million euros each, with the first expected within days and the second by the end of August 2026.
Following the issuance of approximately 32 million new shares, Rhein Holding’s stake in Ebusco is expected to increase from roughly 5.1 percent to approximately 16.6 percent, making it one of the company’s largest shareholders.
The investment follows a period of financial instability for the Deurne-based company. In its recent half-year report, Ebusco warned of material uncertainty regarding its ability to continue as a going concern. This instability was exacerbated by a recent 15 percent drop in share price on the Amsterdam stock exchange after the German client ViP Verkehrsbetrieb cancelled an order for 23 electric buses.
