Ecatepec Mayor inaugurates major road infrastructure projects

Azucena Cisneros Coss, the mayor of Ecatepec, has inaugurated two major road infrastructure projects aimed at addressing long-standing maintenance deficits in the municipality.

In the Tablas del Pozo area, the repaving of Avenida Tunal was completed using hydraulic concrete. The 380-meter project required an investment of approximately 8.14 million pesos from the Municipal Social Infrastructure Contributions Fund (FAIS). The work benefits roughly 12,600 residents across several neighborhoods, including Tepeolulco and El Mirador, and includes improvements to public lighting and drainage.

Additionally, the mayor inaugurated the repaving of Avenida Verdines in the Parque Residencial Coacalco subdivision. This 342-meter stretch, which had been in deterioration for four decades, was resurfaced with 2,793 square meters of asphalt using municipal resources. The project serves as a strategic artery near the border with Coacalco, directly benefiting 900 residents and indirectly impacting over 4,500 people.
