Ecatepec reclaims Parque Texalpa for public use

The government of Ecatepec has reclaimed Parque Texalpa, a public space that had been under private control for several years. Following the recovery, municipal workers renovated and repainted the area, adding murals to the urban landscape.

To encourage community use, the municipality implemented the ‘Cambia de Cancha’ program, which provides free activities such as boxing, basketball, and zumba. Mayor Azucena Cisneros Coss stated that the administration is currently working to rescue 500 public spaces in the locality that were previously abandoned or managed by private entities.
