EcoGraf secures ten-year graphite offtake agreement

Australian mining company EcoGraf has secured a binding ten-year offtake agreement for natural graphite from its Epanko project in Tanzania. The agreement, signed with a major German trading house, establishes a tiered supply structure: 20,000 tonnes per year for the first five years, increasing to 40,000 tonnes annually for the remainder of the term.

This contract replaces a previous 2013 agreement and, when combined with an existing contract with tk accelis Trading GmbH, brings EcoGraf’s total secured annual supply for the European market to 40,000 tonnes. The deal includes a combination of market-based pricing and a minimum price guarantee to stabilize project financing.

To support the project's expansion, EcoGraf is also preparing debt financing of up to $105 million through KfW IPEX-Bank. These developments are intended to strengthen the company's ability to provide high-quality graphite for the battery and industrial sectors while building an independent supply chain.
