Ecuador advances to quarter-finals in Ibai Llanos food competition

Ecuador has advanced to the quarter-finals of the “Mundial de Comidas” (Food World Cup) hosted by influencer Ibai Llanos. In the round of sixteen, Ecuador's representative dish, encebollado, defeated Cuba's ropa vieja, securing approximately 1.3 million votes against 630,000.

In the upcoming quarter-finals, Ecuador will face Bolivia. Bolivia progressed after a close contest against Chile, winning by a margin of roughly 40,000 votes.

Other quarter-final matchups include Venezuela vs. Colombia, Peru vs. Guatemala, and Uruguay vs. Argentina. Notable results from the previous round saw Argentina eliminate Spain and Guatemala advance past Mexico.
