With over 12 million votes cast during the quarter-final stage, the competition has moved into the semifinals. Venezuela’s ‘pabellón criollo’ will face Ecuador’s ‘encebollado’, while Argentina’s ‘asado’ will compete against Peru’s ‘ceviche’.

To address prior criticisms regarding award quality, Llanos has introduced a new bronze trophy valued at 4,000 euros. The design, featuring a globe with a chef’s hat and kitchen utensils, replaces the previous improvised golden frying pan. Llanos announced he will send a replica of this new trophy to Peru to recognize their previous victory in the breakfast competition.
