Ecuador implements business training and USD 109 million in financing

Ecuador is implementing various initiatives to support small businesses and agricultural producers. Through the ‘Emprendamos Junt@s’ program, implemented by Junior Achievement Ecuador with support from The Coca-Cola Foundation, 2,700 entrepreneurs in Quito recently graduated. The program provides training in business models and pitch development, with 25 standout participants receiving economic incentives to scale their projects.

In a separate effort to bolster the productive sector, BanEcuador has distributed over USD 109 million in financing via the ‘Crédito 7x7’ line. This funding has reached 9,703 beneficiaries across all 24 provinces, targeting agricultural, livestock, fishing, and aquaculture activities. The credit offers amounts ranging from USD 500 to USD 250,000 with a 7% annual interest rate and terms of up to seven years.
