Ecuador President Daniel Noboa Meets Japanese Business Federation to Discuss Investment

President Daniel Noboa hosted a delegation from Japan’s Keidanren, the federation of over 1,700 major Japanese companies, at the Carondelet Palace in Quito. The talks, attended by the minister of economy and finance and other cabinet members, showcased Ecuador’s investment portfolio and explored concrete projects such as a Hino truck assembly plant, a Suzuki vehicle factory, energy‑generation equipment, and expanded petroleum and agricultural exports like cacao and broccoli.

Noboa highlighted recent macro‑economic gains, noting improvements in the country’s risk rating, deposit growth and non‑oil export figures. He linked the investment agenda to his broader social programme, promising “surprises” of new assistance, credit and infrastructure projects in the coming months, and emphasizing the administration’s focus on security, employment and family‑centered economic development.
