Ecuador President Daniel Noboa Remains in Top‑10 Latin American Approval Rankings

President Daniel Noboa of Ecuador placed tenth in the July 2026 Latin American presidential image ranking released by CB Global Data, receiving a 41.0 % positive rating (25.8 % "very good" and 15.2 % "good"). The figure marks a slight 0.7‑point decline from June but allowed him to move up one spot as other regional leaders’ ratings fell.

Opposition groups in Ecuador have scheduled a sit‑in protest in front of the National Electoral Council (CNE) in northern Quito, demanding that the council decide on two revocation petitions filed against President Noboa and Vice President María José Pinto. The CNE is expected to issue rulings on the first petition by 17 July and on the second by 28 July, after which signature‑collection forms would be released if the cases are admitted.
