Latin American regional studies cover safety, privacy, and social development
Various academic and regional studies across Latin America highlight diverse socio-economic and technical developments. In Peru, the implementation of the Prever Program at Compañía Minera Condestable resulted in a significant reduction in workplace accidents and severity indices during 2023.
In Ecuador, research focuses on several critical areas: the development of a privacy-by-design framework to comply with personal data protection laws, the socio-environmental impact of oil activities on Amazonian communities, and the effectiveness of constitutional protection actions for fundamental rights. Additionally, studies explore sustainability in the conservation of historic buildings in Cuenca and the creation of digital platforms to analyze social media trends.
Other regional developments include an export plan for gourmet coffee cubes from Loja to Argentina, a study on internal organizational communication in Paraná, Brazil, and the development of a vehicle alert system for students at Fatec Bragança Paulista. In Brazil, social service structures in Santos have been expanded to improve nutrition and maintenance services for vulnerable populations.
