Ecuadorian business sector generates 2.98 million jobs

Ecuador's business sector has reached significant milestones, with data from the INEC Statistical Registry of Companies (REEM) showing that in 2025, the country recorded 1,204,276 companies. These entities generated 2.98 million registered jobs and represented a total wage mass of USD 27.533 billion.

To mark these contributions, the event ‘El orgullo que deja huella en Ecuador’ was held, organized by ¡Mucho mejor! Ecuador, MC Group, and the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL). The forum brought together leaders from the food, health, manufacturing, construction, and technology sectors to discuss innovation, talent development, and corporate commitment to local communities.

In a related effort to promote national identity and development, Diners Club has launched ‘Lo Nuestro Inspira’. This platform focuses on gastronomy, culture, and education. Through its ‘Orígenes’ initiative, the program connects local producers with chefs and restaurants to highlight Ecuadorian ingredients and traditional knowledge, involving approximately 30 emblematic ingredients, 20 producers, 50 chefs, and 30 restaurants.
