Ecuadorian police receive tactical training in U.S. and Colombia

Ecuadorian police officers have undergone specialized tactical training through international security cooperation with the United States and Colombia.

In the United States, 50 members of tactical units participated in training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. This initiative, supported by the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) office, the U.S. Military Group, the DEA, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), aims to strengthen operational capabilities in the fight against drug trafficking.

Additionally, 25 officers from the Judicial Escort Unit and the Person Protection and Security Unit completed a three-week course provided by the Colombian National Police. This training focused on improving response capabilities regarding threats to judicial system facilities. Furthermore, 11 members of the Directorate of Citizen Security and Public Order received training in Strategic Police Service Management to implement crime-based territorial analysis models.
