Ecuador's ADN names mayoral and prefectural candidates for 2026 elections

The Acción Democrática Nacional (ADN) party finalized its internal slate for the 2026 sectional elections. In Los Ríos province the movement endorsed assembly member Eduardo Mendoza as its pre‑candidate for prefecture and Tatiana Donoso for vice‑prefecture, signaling the first step toward official registration.

For the capital, ADN selected Giovanna Ubidia, director of the Rural Social Security Institute and former national‑assembly hopeful, as its mayoral candidate. The party also announced Harold Burbano for the Pichincha prefecture, Emilia Reece for vice‑prefecture, and other local tickets, completing its candidate portfolio ahead of the August registration period.
