Ecuador's Epmaps and Chile's Aguas Andinas halt water supply for maintenance

In Ecuador, the public water utility Epmaps completed preventive maintenance on the Tesalia‑Cero transmission line. The work, involving more than 80 technicians, temporarily suspended service for about 97,000 people in the parishes of Amaguaña, Conocoto, Alangasí and Guangopolo. During the outage, water was supplied by 25 tankers, with priority given to schools, health centers and senior homes. Service is being restored progressively, expected to be fully normal by the early hours of Friday, 5 June.

In Chile, Aguas Andinas announced scheduled water cuts lasting up to 15 hours in the communes of Conchalí, La Florida and Puente Alto. The cuts, set from 15:00 on 2 June to early morning on 3 June, support renewal work on a major aqueduct that serves roughly 143 000 customers across eight southern municipalities of the Santiago metropolitan region.
