Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew calls for meeting of Eastern Patriarchs

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has called for a meeting of the Patriarchs of Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem on November 30 to address urgent challenges facing the Orthodox community. During his visit to Budapest for the 27th International Congress of the Society for Eastern Christian Law, he also inaugurated the ‘Fanarion’ Orthodox Christian Dialogue Center, intended as a hub for theologians and academics. Bartholomew emphasized a ‘primacy of service’ within the community of churches, referencing historical traditions of the Pentarchy.

In Greece, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria visited Nea Kio in Argolis to commemorate the victims of the Asia Minor Catastrophe. His visit included services at the Church of Hagia Eirini and the Church of Agios Loukas tou Iatrou, where he honored historical relics and addressed the pastoral challenges facing the Patriarchate in Africa.

Additionally, Patriarch Porfirios of Serbia presided over a Divine Liturgy and inaugurated a new wooden church at the Holy Monastery of Trikerousa near Mount Avala, calling for the site to become a center of prayer for all Orthodox Serbs.
