Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew inaugurates new religious center in Budapest

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the inauguration of the Phanarion Orthodox Christian Dialogue Center and the Holy Church of the Three Hierarchs in Budapest on Saturday, September 5.

The new center, located in the heart of the Hungarian capital, was donated to the Ecumenical Patriarchate by the Hungarian State in 2018, which also funded its renovation. The ceremony was attended by clergy, religious leaders, ambassadors, and representatives from both the Hungarian and Greek governments.

In his address, the Patriarch emphasized ecological responsibility and interfaith dialogue, calling for cooperation between science, politics, economy, and religion to address social issues. He described the Phanarion as a meeting point for theology, culture, and science.
