The toddler, who was nearly two years old, was found unresponsive in a residential swimming pool at the family home near Houston on June 28.

While the tragedy occurred in late June, the news only became public recently after being leaked by a social media personality. This prompted criticism from Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who expressed that he felt “sad and angry” about how the information surfaced before the family was ready to share it. Allen praised teammates and organization members who had known about the loss but respected the family’s privacy.

Buffalo Bills General Manager Brandon Beane issued a statement expressing the organization’s condolences, describing the loss as “unthinkable.” Oliver has since returned to training camp activities, with the team providing support and space as he continues to grieve.
