Zurich Airport reports record H1 2026 profits and announces new SWISS lounges
Zurich Airport reported record-breaking financial results for the first half of 2026, with revenue rising 5% to 673.6 million CHF and EBITDA increasing 4% to 374.2 million CHF. This growth was driven by increased passenger numbers and strong international business, particularly in Brazil. The airport expects passenger volume to exceed 33 million for the full year 2026, surpassing the 2025 record.
In response to ongoing redevelopment at Dock A, SWISS plans to open new Business and Senator lounges in early 2027. Located in a dedicated building at Dock B, these lounges will span approximately 2,600 square meters, offering 20% more space than current facilities. The new spaces will feature glass facades with views of the Alps and runways, soundproof workspaces, and premium amenities such as a wine humidor and specialized food aging rooms.
Additionally, Edelweiss Air has launched the ‘Edelweiss Hub’ within the Circle complex at Zurich Airport. This two-story facility serves as both a public information area with interactive virtual reality stations and a private space for employee training and corporate events.
