Women's football updates: NWFL promotions and World Cup play-off draws

Various developments in women's football are occurring across Africa. In Nigeria, Obosa Queens FA and C2E Sports Academy have secured promotion to the 2027 NWFL Championship following semi-final victories in the NWFL Nationwide. Obosa Queens secured their spot with a 4-2 comeback win against Onimarg FC.

In continental competition, Nigeria's Edo Queens FC has departed for Burkina Faso to compete in the CAF Champions League preliminary tournament.
